This image began as a photograph I took of the Pyramid of the Sun in the ancient city of Teotihuacan, North of Mexico City. Teotihuacan was given its name by the Aztecs, who found the massive city long abandoned when they arrived in the Valley of Mexico. So impressed by the site, the Aztecs named it Teotihuacan, "The Place Where Men Became Gods".
